Which certificates apply to the product?
Electronics, toys, food-contact goods, chemicals and batteries all carry destination-specific certification. The product category and the destination together decide the list, so confirm both before production starts.
Get the documents from the source
Certificates must come from the manufacturer or an accredited body, not be invented for the file. Ask the supplier for copies before the goods are packed, and check that the model numbers and specifications on the certificate match the actual shipment.
Keep the file ready for the broker
Once the certificates exist, file them with the commercial documents so the import broker can declare the cargo without chasing paperwork. A complete file clears in hours; an incomplete one can hold a shipment for days.
